Memorial Services at St. Andrew's
Memorial services at St. Andrew's are held for members and nonmembers alike, Monday through Friday, in the chapel or sanctuary. Comfortably our chapel seats 175; our sanctuary 1200. A St. Andrew's pastor officiates at all services, and a guest pastor, as requested by the family, is welcome to assist. Morning services are preferably scheduled at 10:00 a.m. while afternoon services are usually scheduled at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. Any memorial service with 250 or more people in attendance needs to be scheduled after 1:00 p.m. due to the availability of parking. Charges are minimal for the use of the facility (nonmembers only), organist, sound technician.
Deacons/Memorial Receptions
The St. Andrew's deacons warmly greet persons coming to the service and provide a guest book for them to sign. They will tastefully arrange any flowers that arrive for the service and distribute any printed remembrances the family has prepared.
For church members, the deacons will host and provide a reception in our fellowship hall. This consists of simple refreshments (coffee, tea, mints, nuts and cookies) for families who would like to greet their friends after the service. There is no charge for a member's reception. If the family desires to have additional food provided, it is their responsibility to arrange for the food to be brought to the church and pay expenses incurred for the service.
